Alpo jaakola statue park

Alpo Jaakola’s statue park is a unique and fascinating ensemble, where nature and large-scale sculptures form an imaginative symbiosis.

Professor Alpo Jaakola (1929-1997) was a Loimaa-born artist, also known as the Shaman of Saviseutu. Jaakola moved to the area of the statue park, a small Forest Cottage, in 1953. Professor Jaakola moved from the statue park to his new artist home in Torkville in 1979. After that, the park was empty for a long time, and nature left its own imprint on the sculptures and buildings. The area has been open for public since 1992.
